Laura is the Artistic Director of Studio 150. She completed her teaching certification from Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School, and then continued her education by attending the Masters In Dance Direction Program. In addition to being certified by test to teach she is also a national certified examiner through Dance Masters
Laura is the Artistic Director of Studio 150. She completed her teaching certification from Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School, and then continued her education by attending the Masters In Dance Direction Program. In addition to being certified by test to teach she is also a national certified examiner through Dance Masters of America. She was awarded an Educators Award for teaching proper technique with age appropriate choreography and costuming. Laura was the former National President of Dance Masters of America, Inc. She has served on many regional and national adjudication panels throughout the United States. Her students have received scholarships to Joffrey Ballet, ABT and Interlochen they have also been seen dancing with Beauty and the Beast, Cats and The Rockettes, just to name a few.

Douglas Horne danced professionally after studying on full scholarship with American Ballet Theatre (New York), Miami City Ballet (Miami, Florida) and Studio Maestro (New York). In June 2010 he was Bronze medal winner in the World Ballet Competition; and in June 2009 he was a finalist in The New York International Ballet competition. Additionally, he was semi-finalist in the renowned International Ballet Competition in Varna (Bulgaria) and won Gold in the senior classical division of the Youth America Grand Prix semifinals in Torrington, Connecticut where he was among the top twelve dancers in the
senior contemporary division. In 2007 he won the Gold medal in the senior division of the Youth Dance Festival of New Jersey. Locally, Mr. Horne danced leading roles from 2009 to 2013 with Orlando Ballet in *Cinderella,* *Le Corsaire* and *Esmerelda* (pas de deux), *Don Quixote*, *A Midsummer Night’s Dream* and *The Nutcracker*. He also originated several soloist and principal roles in contemporary works. He appeared in a featured role in the Orlando Philharmonic’s 2012 production of *Carousel*. In his spare time, Douglas performs as the lead vocalist and guitarist of Orlando funk band Raspberry Pie.

As a former student of Edith and Bill Royal in Orlando Florida, Annette danced with the regional performing company Ballet Royal. She studied extensively with Beverly Fletcher in Niagara Falls, NY. Upon returning to Florida and joining the staff of the Royal Studios she performed and choreographed for the Ballet Royal. She has taught master classes for Cirque Du Soleil, conventions and intensive workshops and has served on many judging panels in the U.S. and Canada.
As a member of Dance Masters of America and Florida Dance Masters, she is a Nationally Certified Examiner. She served as the Acrobatics Chair and on faculty for DMA’s Teacher’s Training School. She is a graduate of the DMA Masters of Dance Direction Program at the University of Buffalo.
With a degree in Technical Theatre, Annette has stage managed such events such as Central Florida Ballet’s Nutcracker, U.S. Olympic Festival, World Cup Soccer USA and the Hughes Corporation Show. She is currently the Stage Manager for World Ballet Competition.

After graduation, she performed in various community shows including the Western New York premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s "Mass". She also choreographed for organizations such as Dancers Give Back and Music Is Art. Kristina completed her teaching certification from Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School and is currently the Second Vice President and the director of Titles and PAC of Dance Masters of America, Chapter 2. Kristina is also a member of Florida Dance Masters, an organization in which she was able to grow from a junior dancer to an educator. Her choreography has won many awards from national dance competitions such as Cathy Roe, Fire and Ice and American Dance Awards. Kristina currently is the dance teacher at East Lake Elementary in Saint Cloud, Florida where she is bringing the joy of dance to all students.
Alex received a bachelor's degree in music education from FSU and a Master of Arts from UCF and has been teaching voice lessons since 2006. They have taught all ages from preschoolers in Kindermusic to elderly singers. They also have been dancing since they were six and are experienced in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and musical/show choir.

They have performed with several groups in the area, including Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, Festival Singers of Florida, Opera Orlando, Central Florida Vocal Arts, Opera del Sol, Phoenix Tears, and Little Radicals Theatrics.
Alex is excited to start working with students at Studio150 to help kids grow their passion for the arts.

Meg Murphy is a dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, and teacher. Born and raised in Orlando, FL she was shaped by the guidance and training of Gina Hatch and Troy Davis at Movement Arts Studio. After receiving part of her education from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC as a Dance and Media major, she transitioned to and graduated from Florida State University Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance in May 2023. During her time in school she has had the opportunity to perform Dan Wagoner’s Short Ride in a Fast Machine, a solo restaged for Florida State University’s Evening of Dance in 2021 and also was selected as rehearsal director and a dancer in an excerpt from MacArthur recipient Jawole Willa Jo Zollar’s Walking With ‘Trane (2015) . Performance experience also includes works by Kara Wilkes, Caleb Mitchell, Tim Glenn, and Donna Uchizono. Her short dance film “Heavenly Body” premiered at Dance on Camera’s 2022 Festival at Lincoln Center and has screened at numerous international festivals. She spent this past summer working and dancing at the renowned Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival as a video documentation intern under Nel Shelby of Nel Shelby productions. She has also taught as a ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap instructor at the Tallahassee Ballet School for ages ranging from 4 to 16 and has been trained in ABT Curriculum.
She is very excited to be teaching at Studio 150 this year!
